I’ve
got a thing about France.
My
name’s of French origin, I collect Eiffel towers and fleur de lis, and I
celebrated my 50th birthday in Paris. I grew up in St. Louis, a city
known for its French heritage; it even has a fleur de lis on its flag. One of my favorite cities in the world is New Orleans. I love escargot,
crepes and crème brûlée. I adore “The Phantom of the Opera.”
But
I’m pretty much 100 percent German. Go figure.
When
I was offered the opportunity to write about the French Cultures Festival in
San Antonio for The Rivard Report, I jumped at the chance. You can read the
